TEDA's Two Carriers Selected as First Batch of Standard Incubators for Tech Enterprises by MIIT
Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) officially released the results of its first batch of recognized sci-tech enterprise incubators (standard-level and excellence-level). Two TEDA-based incubators were awarded standard-level incubators, namely the incubator of Tianjin International Joint Academy of Biomedicine and that of Tianjin Binhai-Zhongguancun Rainforest Space, fully demonstrating TEDA’s outstanding achievements in the lab-to-market activities, cultivation of innovative enterprises, and development of new productive forces.
The two selected carriers have distinctive features and clear advantages. The incubator of Tianjin International Joint Academy of Biomedicine focuses on the vertical field of biomedical sector, creating a specialized incubation space and a full-chain industrial service system, making it an benchmark for TEDA's biomedical technological innovation development. The incubator of Tianjin Binhai-Zhongguancun Rainforest Space is specialized in the artificial intelligence. It has nurtured a number of fast-growing technology enterprises with core technological capabilities.
In recent years, TEDA has consistently regarded incubation carriers as a strong pillar of its regional innovation and entrepreneurship system. Taking this as an opportunity, TEDA will further strengthen its tiered and categorized cultivation system for incubators, and provide one-on-one targeted guidance to the selected carriers. We will fully support them in upgrading to higher capability, facilitate the carriers in the transformation from platform service to the creation of ecosystem. In this way, we are able to continuously improve the incubation ecosystem for technology enterprises, and inject "TEDA momentum" into the city's high-quality development.
