Ajman Finance launches the "Financial Empowerment" program

The Department of Finance (DoF) in Ajman has launched the "Financial Empowerment" program, as an integrated community initiative that aims to raise the level of financial literacy and support financial stability among various segments of society, including senior citizens, people of determination, and students in schools and universities, as part of its strategic approach aimed at enhancing and improving the quality of life in the Emirate.

The launch of the program is part of the Department's efforts to build a more conscious society in dealing with financial affairs by simplifying financial concepts and enhancing financial planning skills, in a way that supports informed financial decision-making, and is in line with the emirate's directions towards achieving sustainable and comprehensive development.

As part of activating the social and interactive dimension of the program, the Department organized a workshop entitled "Financial Literacy", with the participation of the Senior Citizens Happiness Center - Ajman, and the workshop witnessed direct discussions and exchange of experiences and expertise, which contributed to creating an interactive environment that enhanced the understanding of sound financial management strategies and linking them to the daily reality.

The workshop focused on enabling participants to manage their financial resources efficiently, develop financial planning and expense management skills, in addition to introducing digital government financial services and ways to benefit from them, in support of financial independence and social stability.

This workshop is part of the Financial Empowerment Program's initiatives aimed at spreading financial literacy and promoting good financial practices at the community level, which will positively impact the quality of life in the Emirate.

H.E. Marwan Al Ali, Director General of the Department of Finance in Ajman, stressed that the need to raise the level of financial awareness in the community has become an urgent necessity in light of the rapid economic changes, pointing out that financial literacy is a key pillar to achieve the living stability of individuals and families.

He pointed to the pivotal role played by the Department in spreading financial awareness and education through the development of qualitative initiatives that contribute to empowering community members with the necessary knowledge and tools to manage their resources efficiently, explaining that the "Financial Empowerment" program constitutes an effective platform to enhance these efforts and consolidate the concepts of sound financial planning, in line with the directions of Ajman Vision 2030 towards achieving progress and well-being for all and building an inclusive, cohesive and empowered society.

The "Financial Empowerment" program is a practical approach towards building a more financially prepared society, where awareness efforts are integrated with practical initiatives to establish responsible and sustainable financial behaviors.

The program reflects the Department's commitment to strengthening its partnership with the community, and transforming financial knowledge into a daily practice that contributes to achieving living stability and improving the well-being of the community.
