SMBC Aviation Capital announces the Completion of its Participation in the Acquisition of Air Lease Corporation, a U.S. Aircraft Leasing Company

Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group, Inc. (President & Group CEO: Toru Nakashima), Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (President & CEO: Akihiro Fukutome), and Sumitomo Mitsui Finance and Leasing Company, Limited (President: Tetsuro Imaeda) hereby announce that, further to the news release on September 2, 2025, that the aircraft leasing subsidiary SMBC Aviation Capital Limited (CEO: Peter Barrett, "SMBC Aviation Capital") would participate in the acquisition (the “Acquisition”) of Air Lease Corporation, a leading U.S.-based aircraft leasing company, all conditions precedent including regulatory approvals and clearances from the relevant authorities have been satisfied and the Acquisition has been completed.

Through its participation in the Acquisition, SMBC Aviation Capital has further solidified its position as a leader in the aircraft leasing industry. Moving forward, SMBC Aviation Capital will continue to provide a broader range of airlines and both domestic and international aircraft investors with aircraft leasing services and investment opportunities.
