Cityforum 2026 Health Of The Nation Round Table Delivering The 10-Year Plan
The UK government’s 10-year Health Plan published on 3 July last year, focuses on three key shifts for the NHS in England: moving care from hospitals to the community, from analogue to digital services, and from treating sickness to prioritising prevention.
To improve health outcomes for the public and represent value for the taxpayer, challenges across the whole public health ecosystem need addressing, including properly integrating adult social care, more investment in a broad range of medical professionals, as well as managing the public’s growing consumption of and expectations around healthcare.
This ‘off-the-record’ round table seeks to explore the main opportunities in the Health Plan as well as its limitations, and will assess practical solutions to challenges in delivery and implementation. The event will be followed with an unattributed summary report of the main themes from the discussion and will include recommendations and next steps.
