Financial Services Technology Panel: Bank of England Stablecoin Review Workshop

The Financial Services Technology panel will hold a workshop at the Hall on 2 February to compare notes and incorporate further input from the wider membership, ahead of submitting our final response to the Bank of England’s consultation on the proposed regulatory regime for sterling-denominated systemic stablecoins, which closes on 10 February.
Purpose of the Roundtable
The WCIT / WCIT Financial Services Technology Panel is convening a members-only roundtable to:
- Present the Panel’s draft position and key policy views on the Bank of England’s consultation on sterling-denominated systemic stablecoins
- Facilitate an expert discussion on the regulatory, technological, and market implications
- Collect final feedback and input from members to refine the paper
- Agree next steps ahead of final submission by 10 February
This session is intended to ensure that the Panel’s response reflects the breadth of industry expertise across payments, financial services, technology, and digital assets.
