Slovakia and the Czech Republic Presented Investment Opportunities in New York
The Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO), together with CzechInvest, Slovak PRO, and the Consulates General of the Slovak Republic and the Czech Republic in New York, organized the Slovak & Czech Investment Forum, held on December 2, 2025. The strong turnout of more than 100 representatives from New York’s investment, financial, and business community confirmed the growing interest in investment opportunities in Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
Prominent figures from global finance and economics appeared on one stage, including:
Prof. Jan Švejnar (Columbia University), Marek Hyl (Lazard), Miroslav Beblavý (Zhiva & VC Fund CB ESPRI), Jakub Duda (Goldman Sachs), and Dado Slezák (digital infrastructure investor).
Presentation of Slovakia in New York
At the event, Vladimír Lackovič, Special Representative of SARIO for Trade and Investment in the United States, presented Slovakia’s investment profile to the American financial and business community, emphasizing that Slovakia is a country of capability, reliability, and future growth.
Slovakia boasts a highly qualified technical workforce shaped by a longstanding tradition in manufacturing and the automotive industry. This foundation increasingly converges with the development of technology sectors supported by research institutions, technical universities, and a growing community of innovative deep-tech companies.
One of Slovakia’s major advantages is its stable and low-emission energy system— a decisive factor especially for projects involving AI, data centers, advanced manufacturing, digitalization, and battery technologies.
Today’s Slovakia is flexible, innovative, and globally connected, enabling rapid responses to shifts in supply chains and technological trends. For investors seeking a partner focused on long-term competitive advantage rather than cost alone, Slovakia represents a strategic choice for expansion in Europe.
The Forum’s Significance for Slovakia
In New York, we succeeded in creating space for direct discussions with leaders who make decisions on investment placement and global expansion. The event was not merely about transferring information—it marked a shift from passive awareness of Slovakia to active recognition of the country as a location with concrete investment opportunities and ready-to-grow sectors.
Equally important was the joint presentation with neighboring Czechia. Cooperation with CzechInvest and diplomatic partners brought greater reach and visibility than would have been possible independently.
