Walid Farghal, Director General of AIM Congress: we have great scope in future for BRICS and BRICS+ countries to develop
The BRICS and BRICS Plus countries are emerging as a significant global economic bloc, representing over 3 billion people through their combined population. These countries have transcended their status as emerging economies to become influential contributors to the global economy, wielding considerable economic power that impacts not only their own populations but also neighboring countries and fellow BRICS members.
The areas of cooperation among the BRICS and BRICS Plus countries are vast and varied. Key sectors include green investment, environmental initiatives, and climate change mitigation. The digital economy, innovative solutions, logistics, and transportation are also crucial areas where collaboration can yield substantial benefits.
Manufacturing is a cornerstone of the BRICS countries' economic strength, enabling them to support one another through their unique resources and production needs. Looking ahead, there is immense potential for the BRICS and BRICS Plus countries to further develop their small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Enhancing inter-trade among BRICS nations is also of paramount importance.
To achieve these goals, it is essential for the governments of the BRICS countries to implement policies that facilitate smoother investment and trade flows. By doing so, they can unlock the full potential of their economic cooperation and drive sustainable growth in the years to come.
