Finnish business delegation visits Tianjin


On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Finland and China, a Finnish business delegation consisting of 12 Finnish companies and 16 business representatives will visit Tianjin on June 10-11, 2025. The delegation is led by Mr. Tian Marko, Commercial Counsellor of the Embassy of Finland in China and Head of the China Region of the Finnish National Business Promotion Agency, with the aim of promoting exchanges between Finland and Tianjin in green industries such as energy transformation, circular economy, and sustainable buildings.
Representatives from 12 Finnish entrepreneurs, including Bipanghao Environmental Protection Technology, Jieaobei Construction Engineering, Finland's Indufor Consulting Group, Kangmais (Chuzhou) Electromechanical, Labor Model Group, Linstron, Meizhuo, Olin Burner, Peck Building Materials, Weimei De, Wickway, and Wartsila, gathered in Tianjin to conduct in-depth exchanges and practical connections with local enterprises, injecting new momentum into Finland China green industry cooperation.

The Finnish business delegation this time mainly involves green industries such as energy transformation, circular economy, and sustainable buildings. During the visit, the delegation visited Tianjin Commerce Bureau, China Resources Recycling Group, and Tianjin Energy Group, and jointly organized the China (Tianjin) - Finland Green Industry Exchange Conference with Tianjin Commerce Bureau, Tianjin Economic and Technological Development Zone Management Committee, and International Economic and Technological Development Zone Green Development Alliance.

On the morning of June 10th, Li Jian, Deputy Director of Tianjin Commerce Bureau, and representatives from the Foreign Investment Comprehensive Office, Foreign Investment Management Office, Circulation Industry Office, and Foreign Affairs Liaison Office of the Commerce Bureau attended the meeting. The Tianjin Commerce Bureau introduced the development of relevant industries in Tianjin and the economic and trade cooperation with Finland to the delegation, pointing out that Tianjin has a vast market in urban construction and renewal, circular economy, green energy, marine equipment, marine resource development and other fields. The vast majority of enterprises that came to Tianjin this time have not yet invested in Tianjin, and the potential for cooperation between the two sides is enormous.

On the afternoon of June 10th, the China (Tianjin) - Finland Green Industry Exchange Conference was successfully held in Tianjin Economic and Technological Development Zone. Representatives from China and Finland will have in-depth exchanges and explore cooperation opportunities in the fields of green energy, energy conservation and environmental protection, and circular economy, further promoting the high-quality development of Tianjin's green industry.

Mr. Liang Nan, a second level inspector of the Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Ms. Song Yuyan, Director of the Secretariat of the National Economic and Technological Development Zone Green Development Alliance, and Mr. Zhou Yuanchi, Deputy Director of the Tianjin Economic Development Zone Ecological Environment Bureau, attended the exchange meeting and delivered speeches.
On the morning of the 11th, the Finnish business delegation also visited China Resources Recycling Group. Mr. Wen Feng, member of the Standing Committee of the China Resources and Environmental Protection Party Committee and Deputy General Manager, as well as representatives from relevant departments, attended the meeting. Both sides had a heated discussion on circular economy and will explore diversified cooperation paths in multiple fields in the future to promote the development of circular economy.
In the afternoon, a Finnish business delegation visited Tianjin Energy Group. Mr. Fu Jindong, a member of the group's party committee and deputy general manager, and relevant representatives attended the meeting. The two sides had in-depth discussions and exchanges on topics such as new energy.
The visit of the Finnish business delegation has opened a new chapter in the cooperation between Tianjin and Finland in the field of green industry. We look forward to both companies continuing to deepen cooperation and jointly promoting the prosperous development of green industries.
